April 18: (Joint meeting with APWA) Lance Wilbur, Director, MOA Traffic Department, discussed the Federal Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA 21) as it affects Anchorage. May 16: Sarah Palin, Mayor of City of Wasilla, gave a PowerPoint presentation on the City of Wasilla and the effects of the proposed Knik Arm Crossing on the City and the Mat-Su Valley. This was held in conjunction with the Chapter 49 Spring Seminar on the proposed Knik Arm Crossing. June 27: Attorneys Paul Davis and Ron Black discussed recent changes in qualifying expert witness testimony. August 16: (Friday dinner meeting in the Valley at the Mat-Su Resort) Jeremy Hale, E-Terra, discussed the dedication of E-Terra to delivering value to clients through integration and innovation of GIS, Database, CAD, and internet/intranet technologies. This was also the annual SR/WA recognition meeting. September 19: Michael Wolfe, SR/WA, Inspirational speaker and Alameda County, California, Right of Way Agent, gave a presentation on Presentation Skills.
